Welcome, I’m Ros. I love sewing, quilting, reading and eating, and this blog is all about those things.
I’m from Melbourne, Australia but I am currently living as an expat in Guangzhou, China. Guangzhou is China’s third biggest city with amazing food, great people and loads of inspiration for my creative pursuits. I can’t speak or read mandarin but I’m trying to learn!

I started sewing in 2010, mainly for my two daughters, and it’s been a work in progress ever since. I’ll give anything a try, and I think I’ll always consider myself a beginner. I’m not sure what my style is, it’s always evolving, but if I had to describe it, I’d say colourful and modern.

I sew on a Brother NV1800Q.  My old sewing space was a corner of my dining room, you can see it here. My apartment in China has a study that I’ll use as a sewing room but we are still waiting for our belongings to arrive.

  1. Kudos, Lenny Kravitz is not bad for a first gig, it'd pass the RocKwiz test I think. Mine was NKOTB, embarrassing for a long time, but now so bad it's cool again. And yay for permanent Ikea sewing space. Hurrah! Melbourne is better than Sydney. Agreed. Great 'about'!

  2. Hello Ros! I just discovered your blog and I really like the beautiful things you make! I love sewing as well! Thank you for inspiring me more! 🙂
