Sprocket Cushion for Cushionpalooza

The girls from Modern Makers have just launched an awesome cushion making extravaganza and of course I’m ALL IN. I love cushions – making them, admiring them, sitting on them and most importantly, using them to rest my ipad on while watching Netflix in bed.

For my entry I decided to try a project I’ve had my eye on for a long time – the sprocket pillow by Cluck Cluck Sew. You can grab the free pattern and tutorial here.

For the colour scheme I used my rule of three and chose a black, white and magenta combination. For the edges I used some scraps of the popular numbers print from Ikea, and for the back, a camera print I’ve had in my stash forever.

I would have preferred to use a self cover button on the front but these days I can’t just pop down to Spotlight! The big white button with the magenta thread works OK but one day maybe I’ll replace it.

Do you want to be involved in Cushionpalooza? YES? Good.

Check out all the details here on the Modern Makers blog. There are some awesome prizes up for grabs (trust me you definitely want to win these prizes.) You can also see the entries roll in on the IG hashtag #mmrcushionpalooza.

For more inspiration, check out my raspberry kiss cushion , my economy block cushion, my London Calling cushions and my Finn the Fox cushion.

I’m looking forward to seeing your entries!

    1. Hi Patricia, I rarely sew with knits but there are lots of great tutorials out there. Just google “sewing with knits” and you will find a lot of great advice.
