Friday Finds

rainbow mini quilt 1

Ahhhh the sun is shining…so I’ve done four loads of washing today. Mum life huh?

Lately I’ve been OBSESSED with roasted cauliflower. I usually chop mine up but whole roasted caulis are a real show stopper.  Try this recipe.

I did some shopping this weekend and found the perfect denim jacket. Yesssss. I feel like I’ve achieved some kind of life goal! This is the one I bought.

Tula Pink, the uber popular fabric designer, has released a collection of her designs as a grown up colouring book! Fun! Check it out here.

Ok I confess I’m totally guilty of this. Wearing leggings to walk the kids to school then staying in my ‘active wear’ all day. This video is hilarious (and you’ve probably already seen it because it is EVERYWHERE on Facebook!)

Loads of people have asked me about how I managed to find an aqua coloured cutting mat! It’s by American Crafts and is usually stocked / listed in paper craft or scrapbooking. you can find it here. They also have it in pink.

Smoothie bowls are so hot right now on all the health and wellness blogs, and rightly so because they look YUMMY in all the pictures. Here is a great version by The Mimimalist Baker.

Kindle Deals for the book worms!

The Bookstore by Deborah Meyler   $16.00   $3.06

A character driven novel about a young English woman whose life is turned upside down so she takes a job at a quirky New York bookstore.

Swimming Upstream by Ruth Mancini $4.00   $0.99

Chick lit with a twist – not your usual light hearted fare but more of a complex story of Lizzie, a woman who must find her way out of a long term relationship. Life affirming and humorous but with more serious subject matter than the usual chick lit novels. Good holiday read.  Has won lots of Kindle Book Awards.

The School for Heiresses by Sabrina Jeffries & Liz Carlyle   $6.99 $0.99

For those of you who love historical fiction, this one is a lighthearted romantic novel set in the Regency era, students from Mrs Harris’ school for young ladies from return home for the holidays with the hopes of entering into society.

Happy reading and happy weekend! x

  1. I popped by to remind myself of the book club book, having just settled myself on the backyard couch with a beer, and now have four new books loaded on my kindle and a serious hankering for roasted cauliflower! Now that’s what I call service
