How has your week been? Mine has been great – spent last weekend up in Canberra visiting friends (I lived there in 2005/06) and I’ve been back at the sewing machine whipping up some little projects and finishing off a couple of WIPs. I keep promising myself I’ll give my sewing area a good tidy…but you know, best laid plans.
I just bought Cluck Cluck Sew’s Mini Quilt Patterns and can’t wait to whip up a few. Super gorgeous, I love her designs and her blog.
Anna has been immersing herself in her new found love of chapter books. A particular favourite is the Juliet Nearly A Vet series by Rebecca Johnson – if any of you are looking for junior novels for 6-8 year old girls, these ones are a winner.
My sister and I are complete Harry Potter fan girls and I love how JK Rowling continues to update fans with goings on in the Potterverse. She has revealed which house Harry’s son James has been sorted into.
Adding bento picks like these to chopped up fruit in my kids’ lunch boxes has seen a significant rise in fruit consumption. Parenting win!
One of the lovely things about sewing is being able to give special gifts. This story will warm your heart and the quilt is divine too.
Have a great weekend! xx
P.S. Keep an eye out for a book club announcement SOON!
