10 Sewing Instagrammers To Follow

10 of the best sewing instagram accounts

Instagram has become the favourite social media platform for many of us who sew and quilt. The visual medium suits us perfectly having an instagram account is like microblogging. In fact, I know quite a few bloggers who have decided to stop blogging altogether and are now just sharing their work via instagram.

I find instagram really inspirational and I’ve often taken screenshots of amazing pictures just to refer back to a design, fabric combination or pattern. Here are a few of my favourites who consistently share stunning projects.

@quilty_carlie

Carlie is a Melbourne local who I was lucky enough to meet at a recent social sewing day. I love her modern style and fabric choices. Follow her here.

@sophie_hellocrafty

I ‘met’ Sophie a couple of years ago when we were partners in a fabric swap. She snaps lots of pics of works in progress and recent fabric purchases that will have you drooling. Follow her here.

@daisyandjack

Another Aussie quilter, Leanne creates beautiful colourful projects. You can follow her here and also find her blog here.

@jeliquilts

Kelly from Jeliquilts does a lot of projects using rainbow colour schemes and low volume backgrounds, which I never get tired of. She also blogs here and can be found on IG here.

@elnorac

Elnora has stunning taste in fabric and makes a variety of projects. Her feed is full of very cute things and lots of little zippy pouches which are faves of mine! Follow her here.

@aspoonfulsugar

Well known blogger Lisa has a stunning feed of small scale projects, quilty goodness and beautiful colour palettes. She really knows how to style her pictures. Check out her blog here for heaps of great tutorials and follow her on instagram here.

@creativereveries

Stephanie creates beautiful projects in a modern style that I love and I’ve discovered some great patterns via her feed.  She also has a great blog here and follow her on IG here.

@jackiegillies

I ‘met’ Jackie online and turns out she is a Melbourne local. We have met a couple of times now at social sewing events and most recently at Craft Alive Bendigo. She is great fun, and also a very talented quilter! Follow her instagram feed here.

@belloquacity

Another Melbournian (I think!)  – a lovely IGer who always leaves sweet comments and is super encouraging to others and her feed is just beautiful too. All kinds of sewing projects and works in progress.  Follow her here.

@tinkerellen

Lovely fabric, sweet embroidery and a cute baby. What’s not to love? Follow her pics here. So that’s ten! I hope you pop over and follow all these ladies – you won’t be disappointed.

And as a bonus number 11, you can also find me on instagram here!

Two more! 😺💖💛 #catventquiltalong #quiltblockbootcamp #isew #quilting
